Early Life and High School Career

Jordan Love attended Liberty High School in Bakersfield. During this time, his prowess on the football pitch started to show, and he eventually became the starting quarterback in his junior and senior years. He earned All-Area and All-Southwest Yosemite League honors in his senior year, which set the stage for a promising future in football.

College Career at Utah State

Post high school, college prospects came calling, and Love accepted a scholarship offer from Utah State University. Over the three seasons he played for the Utah State Aggies, Love consistently improved his performance, becoming a key player in the team.

The pinnacle year of his college career was undoubtedly 2018. Leading the Aggies to an 11-2 season (the best in school history), he threw for 3,567 yards with 32 touchdowns, setting five school records. His outstanding season culminated with him being named the MVP of the 2018 New Mexico Bowl.

Road to the NFL

Following two more impressive seasons after his seeming breakout year, Love announced he would forgo his final year of college eligibility to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. This marked the beginning of the most crucial phase of his football career.

In the lead up to the draft, Love’s potential sparked a lot of interest from NFL franchises. An athletic quarterback with an arm to match, Love had scouts and teams intrigued. His performances during the NFL Combine further solidified his status as a top prospect.

Time at the Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers selected Love in the first round, with the 26th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. His selection was met with a flurry of reactions, considering the Packers already had established starter QB Aaron Rodgers.

Be that as it may, Love proved himself a valuable part of the team. Though his initial game time was limited, it gave him the much-needed opportunity to adapt to the NFL’s high-paced, physical style.
