College Career at The University of Alabama

Waddle committed to the University of Alabama, where he played for the Crimson Tide from 2018 to 2020. He showed his talent from the get-go, earning SEC Freshman of the Year in 2018 and being named to the Freshman All-American Team.

Waddle’s sophomore year proved his worth as he played in 13 games and recorded 33 receptions for 560 yards and six touchdowns. Showcasing his resilient spirit, Waddle worked ardently through his rehabilitation protocols and made it back onto the field for the National Championship game against Ohio State, where the Crimson Tide emerged victorious.

Professional Career: The Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins selected Waddle with the 6th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, reuniting him with his former Alabama quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. As a rookie, Waddle has already shown the traits that earned him such a high draft selection, and his performance continues to give Dolphins’ fans a lot of hope for the future.
