Ben Sasse is a prominent American politician, author, and professor who made his mark in public service in various capacities. In 2010, Ben Sasse returned to his roots in Nebraska to become the president of Midland University in Fremont. His tenure at Midland was marked by his efforts to revitalize the institution’s academic programs, boost enrollment, and stabilize the university’s finances.
Tenure as a U.S. Senator
In 2014, Sasse won the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Nebraska and went on to win the general election. As Senator, Sasse has served on several committees including the Judiciary Committee; the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs; and the Joint Economic Committee.
